If you want to get your own estimate, you must get it within 4 business days of receiving your renter’s notice. You can not be related to the professional making the estimate. Then, you must send a copy of the estimate to the renter and start fixing the issue as soon as possible.
If you do not want to get your own professional estimate, you can use the renter's professional estimate or allow the renter to hire the professional to fix the issue.
